My name is Fabian Hurnaus and I am 17 years old. I attend the BBS-Rohrbach in Austria.
About six months ago my teacher in Software Development invited me to visit a Windows Phone Developer Conference for students. Before my visit to this Conference I was not a big fan of Windows Phone (to be honest, the main reason why I joined the event was the free pizza afterwards).
Against all my expectations the event was awesome. I learned so many new things and at the end I won a Nokia Lumia 800. Back at home I started to write my first "Hello World" application for Windows Phone. The following weeks I developed some small Windows Phone applications and XNA games.
Then I decided with my schoolmate Lucas Dikany (he is an awesome designer) to develop a small useful app, which I could upload to the Marketplace.
The result was 'Bad Match'. A small random-pullout-game for 2 to 8 players. Every player has to pull out a match. If you take the burned match you lose the game.
For all students out there who also want to develop an application for Windows Phone, I recommend you read an ebook about Windows Phone developing. There are some really good (and free) ebooks on the Microsoft Press site.
