This past weekend student developers came together in more than 100 locations around the world to write apps for Windows 8. More than 17,000 students registered for the events, making it the largest simultaneous hackathon of student developers in history.
Twitter and Facebook were buzzing with great stories and photos of the event and we wanted to share a few here. One of the largest WOWZAPP 2012 events was held in Helsinki, Finland. Check out some of the great apps that came out of the event in this video.
There were some great opportunities to learn new skills for Windows 8. Some of them are available on video, check out the WOWZAPP 2012 videos on Channel 9 for presentations on game development, Windows Azure mobile services, migrating games from HTML5 to Windows 8 and many more.
